Imlil and the surrounding villages offer a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in Berber culture. Visitors can stay in traditional guesthouses (gîtes) or with locals, enjoy homemade Berber meals, and learn about local customs and traditions.

Departure: Between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM from Marrakech, return at 8:00 PM
Pickup: At your hotel or Riad in Marrakech. If your Riad is located in the medina, a nearby meeting point will be arranged.

Located about 70 kilometers from Marrakech, Imlil is the last village accessible by road before Mount Toubkal, the highest peak of the Moroccan Atlas. Known as the starting point for many hikes, including the ascent of Toubkal, Imlil and its valley also offer a complete change of scenery with pure water, numerous orchards, and breathtaking views.

Combine Discovery and Gastronomy

Once there, stop at a local home to prepare your lunch.

You can choose to participate hands-on or simply watch the preparation.

You can prepare and enjoy a full menu consisting of Moroccan salad, chicken or meat tagine, and the famous mint tea, or just enjoy the meal.

While the meal cooks, you will appreciate the peaceful surroundings and immerse yourself in Berber tea culture with your local family.

After lunch, your guide will take you along the scenic road crossing the Kik plateau, a limestone rocky promontory offering sublime views of the region. Finish your excursion at the Lalla Takerkoust artificial lake before returning to Marrakech.
